Biography
Justin M. McMullen has spent more than a decade representing individuals in the courts of Ohio. He works collaboratively with his clients to defend against the misdemeanor and felony charges they are facing. Justin works throughout the State’s mayor’s courts, municipal courts, and common pleas courts on behalf of his clients having appeared in 23 of Ohio's 88 counties in his career. For his work, Justin has been included on the Ohio Rising Stars list from 2020-2025.
Justin graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati Ohio in 2007 with an honors degree in Political Science and minor in mathematics. After working in a public library system, he then earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2011. He is licensed to practice in the States of Ohio and Indiana and the Federal Courts for the Southern District of Ohio, the Southern District of Indiana, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
After graduation, Justin worked in a Dayton-area general practice firm for four years getting experience and exposure to business formation and litigation, criminal defense, juvenile defense, domestic relations, personal injury litigation, and estate planning and probate practice. His passion for litigation led him to open his own firm, McMullen Law Office, LLC which helped people in the Dayton area have access to a single-lawyer practice for criminal defense, where he continued his development and approach to criminal cases and ancillary civil matters. He closed his office to work with lawyers in civil litigation - both plaintiff- and defense-sided - until returning exclusively to criminal practice in 2021.
