Ashley graduated in 2013 from Denison University with a Bachelor of Arts in both History and Psychology. During that time, Ashley completed an internship in the Psych Ward of Trumbull Correctional Institution, located in Warren, Ohio. In 2016, she graduated cum laude from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School. During her time at John Marshall, Ashley worked for the Law Journal. Ashley also participated in a Mock Trial in Savannah, Georgia. At said Mock Trial, Ashley was presented with an Award for Best Opening Statement. Additionally, while at John Marshall, she received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for obtaining the highest grade in her Domestic Violence course. Internships at the time included Beaver County Courthouse, located in Beaver, Pennsylvania, Child Abuse Division of the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and both the Felony Division and Juvenile Division of the Gwinnett County District Attorney's Office, located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Following graduation from Law School, Ashley worked in the Civil Division of the Champaign County Prosecutor's Office, focusing on Tax Foreclosure.
Upon admission to the Ohio Bar, Ashley joined the Butler County Prosecutor's Office as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. In the Juvenile Division of the Butler County Prosecutor's Office, Ashley was tasked with both delinquency (criminal) and abuse, neglect, dependency (Children's Services) cases. When the opportunity arose for her to work for C-K Law, she welcomed the chance. After gaining experience from different prosecutorial offices in the different areas and states, Ashley was ready for a change. She believed her background from the opposing side would be beneficial in her work to assist criminal defendants. Moreover, her interest of family law and domestic relations could drive success for her cases at the firm.
